After 3 year i've decided that this is it. I've deleted most of my blog entries for the past 3 years and only left the ones that are meaningful. This blog has been nothing but a passage of a great journey.
I have moved elsewhere. So to my dear friends, if you want to know where have I gone to please email me and I will let you know.
Thanks for everything.
XOXO,
Yogi

A Birthday Wish
It was my birthday last Saturday. I did not have a big birthday party bash because I didn't feel like it. Now on days, birthdays does not seem to be too big of an issue for me. I didn't wish for anything nor did I want any presents [but thank you to the yuppies for making me a scrapbook which I love oh so much!].
This year my birthday has taken me to a different perspective of life. It happen to fall on a hottest day in Melbourne (46deg!!!!), and with that came the devastating bush fires which left many homes destroyed and lives broken. The most distraught area is King Lake which only a mere kilometers from where I live. One of my workmates, Di lost her home and everything else that she and her family owned. All she has are the clothes on her back but thankfully she and her family were saved from the fires. Work has organised a donation collection for Di and her family. I've donated some money as well as some fresh towels and new bedsheets for her. I logged on the the Australian Red Cross website to donate more and holding off all my grocery shopping for this Friday as Coles is going to donate Friday profits to the Victorian Bushfire appeal.
If birthday wishes are meant to come true then I shall wish to God to please look after those who has lost their loved ones and their homes to the bushfires. Show them love and courage to move on and help them to get back on their feet. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who are affected.

Slumdog millionaire
is the first movie I watched for 2009 :) and you have not watched it yet I HIGHLY recommend that you should.
It's a bit hard for me to pin point why I like this movie so much. In a way I was touched by the loving relationship of Jamal and Salim along side of the hardship and the unthinkable abuse that they had to go through as kids of the slumps. This movie reminds me so much of Salam Bombay!. I think the survival of these kids are truly amazing.

BOO!
So looks like I've survived the 1st week of 2009 (painfully). Can you believe it it's already 2009!!!!
Many thoughts have been running through my mind for these past couple of weeks - wondering about what was different last year (if at all) compared to the the year before, wondering if I've changed over the last 12 months, or whether or not i would have done some things differently and more so, how this year be for me.
Did I achieved my 2008 resolutions- well that's hard to answer because honestly speaking I have not made any new year's resolution since I left school in 2001! And this year will not different either. Seriously you don't need a new year to start making a difference right?!
But what has defined 2008?
i-a year of surprises - some good, some not so good. sometimes by others, and times, i have even surprised myself.
ii-a year of new and old friends - some good, some not so good (?). =P
iii-a year of rediscovery of faith - all good =)
but most important of all, I thank my lucky stars because 2008 has reminded me over and over again, that I am constantly surrounded by those dearest to me :)
I guess for 2009 I just want to be a better daughter, sister, friend, person.
XOXO.
